CERTIFIED ORGANIC TEA TREE OIL

Tea Tree oil is one of nature’s most remarkable gifts. With the ability to inhibit harmful bacteria while maintaining the skin’s natural balance, it is nature’s answer to an all-purpose wonder product.

The amazing cleansing powers of Tea Tree oil have been used for centuries by the Bundjalung tribe who inhabited the wetlands surrounding Bundjalung Creek in northern New South Wales, Australia. With both antiseptic and antifungal properties, Tea Tree Oil was considered a “magical” healing liquid that was used to treat many aliments and conditions, from coughs and colds to wounds.

It was not until 1930 that it was bought to the attention of the Western world. Dr. E.M Humphrey published an article titled “A New Australian Germicide” in which told of the incredible healing and cleansing properties of Tea Tree oil. He stated that, “the germicidal action became more effective in the presence of living tissue without any damage to healthy cells’.

Tea Tree oil is the best natural deodorant that works by killing bacteria that produces the odour, rather than just masking the odour with perfumes like other deodorants.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC SPEARMINT

Spearmint (Mentha spicata) is not native to Australia. Selected chemotypes are grown in the Southern regions, where greater day length approximates its native Mediterranean locations. Used herbally since ancient Roman and Greek times: to fragrance baths, and to freshen the breath.

The essential oil, steam distilled from the flowering tops, is regarded as antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, clarifying, restorative and stimulating, commonly used in chewing gum, and as an insect repellent.

Australian Spearmint essential oil, unlike Peppermint, contains little or no menthol. Its significant constituents are carvone (over 70%), dihydrocarvone, and limonene.
